Ron Fedor - Stone Carver - 8-15-1958 - 11-25-2021
Ron Fedor is a self-taught stone carver from Mantua, Ohio. He has spent more than 40 years in the stone masonry craft, which has evolved into a passion for the timeless traditional manner of stone carving.. His inspiration to carve comes from the 1820 log building that houses his studio. Although not formally trained in the art, Fedor keeps an open mind to carving and enjoys creating folk art pieces.
Fedor believes the look of hand-chiseled stone, as opposed to computer-generated objects, shows the artists personal touch, with no two pieces being exactly the same. Through his pieces, he finds a way to connect and communicate with his clients. "Everyone loves stone," he noted.
The detail he carves in a piece of stone is what makes them a one of a kind piece of art.
To my only Love by Sherry Fedor
Words will never describe what I am feeling,
but my world fell apart with loosing you. We wanted to grow old together, but God had another plan. I am broken, and would trade places with you if I could. I will always remember your love, your kisses, and your heart. Until I see you again!
