L.T. Short - PA German Folk Art & Fraktur

Lisa Short, of L.T. Short Folk Art, is a southeastern Pennsylvania artisan specializing in Pennsylvania German fraktur and traditional decorative arts. Self-taught and deeply inspired by the folk art traditions of rural Pennsylvania Germans of the 18th and early 19th centuries, she creates hand-inked and watercolor-painted fraktur, grain-painted frames, and decorative boxes inspired by historic examples. Her work reflects years of study and a deep appreciation for early Pennsylvania German artistry. Lisa has been listed in Early American Life’s Directory of Traditional American Crafts since 2000.
